73% Increase in Direct Conversion
For Hotel Westport, we changed the rate display on the site from "Per Person Staying" to "Total Stay". The hotel was accustomed to displaying all rates as Total Stay, not Per Person Staying, but when we made changes, the increase in the number of guests proceeding through the booking funnel improved immediately. Additionally, the percentage of guests going from the first page where they would see the full rate (essentially double the Per Person Staying rate) onto the next stage of booking has doubled from Oct 16 to Feb 17. This means that previously, half of those guests abandon the booking as soon as the full rate was visible. The hotel has now also updated all printed collateral and is using Total Stay rates throughout all marketing, and we hope to see more direct bookings in the future.
